Leesa Willmott
Our Head Chef and Director, Leesa Willmott, has been vegetarian for over 30 years, and has a lifelong passion for nourishing food and good health. As a health professional who understands the need for sound nutrition to optimise health and well-being, Leesa has expanded her repertoire and studied as a vegan chef in both Australia and Italy. Leesa completed her Vegan Chef training course in Luca, Italy where she learnt how to source, prepare, and cook traditional Tuscan food from the region. She also completed a gluten-free and vegan pastry course, and attended Veets Vegan Cooking School program in Mullumbimby, NSW.
Leesa founded Evokes in 2018, beginning with event catering and sweets, alongside her expanding take-home meal range. This led to her opening a cafe that offered breakfast, lunch and dinner to the public. She is now the Creative Director behind all of the amazing meals and pantry items that can be found on the Evokes website.
Leesa would like to help people initiate healthy lifestyle habits with a focus on clean and sustainable eating. A lot of her food is hand-picked from the Evokes Garden, where she ethically sources her ingredients to create delicious food. She delights in creating wonderful dishes to feed her family and friends, and now offers her lovingly made meals to the Surfcoast region.
